  1. Take Daily for Life!

Posted by Diane (reviewed at amazon) on 9th Jun 2016

After having terrible stomach pains and learning it was caused by diverticulosis, I decided to start taking probiotics. I have been taking probiotics for a few years now and this Advanced Strength Ultra Probiotic is the highest containing live cultures I have ever tried. It also contains Sunfibre and FOS Prebiotics which is new to my gut as well. I was a little concerned that it may give me a side effect that would not be pleasant for me or anyone near me. But only on the third day did I have an issue and I would not say it was terrible. I recall going to the grocery store many years ago looking for Lactobacillus Acidophilus milk. These capsules - which are easy to swallow and not great big like others I have tried- contain Lactobacillus Acidophilus plus about five other lactobacillus I never even knew existed. These pills worked well for me and I feel confident knowing I am getting probiotics and Prebiotics both. I will continue using these as I feel great and it's a pain trying to read all the tiny printed labels looking for probiotics and now that I have tried Prebiotics that as well.

  2. Seems like a Winner!

Posted by Kat (reviewed at amazon) on 9th Jun 2016

I researched different companies and decided to try the Life & Food Ultra Probiotic. I am just finishing up my first month and am very pleased and just ordered more. I have had stomach issues for as long as I can remember and these seem to help. The most amazing thing to me is that I seriously don't crave sugar like I used to. I take one pill with a glass of water in the morning. Last night, the whole family went out for dessert and I didnt have any. It's crazy. I would give it five stars but I don't know if it's the product or I just want it to work so it does. I will check back in another month if I still feel this good.

  3. Room Temperature Storage a Bonus

Posted by Suee (review from amazon) on 7th Jun 2016

I bought this probiotic because of the number of different strains of bacteria and it's ability to be stored at room temperature. The resistance to stomach acids is also a great benefit making sure they get to the gut alive to perform their duty. I have food intolerances and an irritable bowel and have been trying various probiotic formulas on and off to help deal with this. I have recently found out that I am gluten intolerant (it aggravates my osteoarthritis and my bowel - I have been diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome). I need as much help as I can get to heal my bowel.
Previously I have stored probiotics in the fridge and then found myself forgetting to take them. These I can store with my meds so it's easy to remember take them. I have only just begun taking them so I will report back over the next month in regards to any improvements noticed over time ( re regularity and improvements re bloating etc). I like that they are made in the US and are FDA approved.

  4. Heal the gut to heal the body. its worth a try

Posted by tracy (review from amazon) on 7th Jun 2016

I suffer from auto immune issues and chronic fatigue as a result. I also had gotten a little lazy in prioritizing my health and diet. In the past few months I have been doing research on more natural remedies to better health and found the leaky gut syndrome to be very descriptive of some of my main symptoms.
Ive been following the direction of heal the gut...to heal the body and probiotics have really gotten me back on track to feeling better. Its not a magic pill or cure by any stretch but the first few days (not to be graphic), I literally had 5 super large BMs a day....not the runs. but very very large BMs and not in any way relative to what I had consumed during the course of the day. I must have had that much backed up into my body...dragging me down..making me feel ill and fatigued. It was so gross and disgusting yet relieving.
I have lost weight as a consequence and have more energy. Unlike other probiotics, this does not need to be refrigerated and you only need to take one a day. This is worth trying.

  5. Great acid resistant probiotic.

Posted by Rose (review from amazon) on 3rd Jun 2016

I have to say that I am very impressed by these probiotics. I insist on only using time released acid resistant probiotics, since I want the benefit of the good bacteria. Any probiotic that doesn’t make this claim is useless since the majority of the good bacteria would die when exposed to stomach acid before it even reached your intestines, which is where the probiotic is needed. Most of our absorption of nutrients and breakdown of foods occurs in our intestines. Assistance with the breakdown and absorption are what these good bacteria are for. The prebiotic included helps the good bacteria develop and grow, pushing out the bad bacteria which many health professionals are finding responsible for many of our health issues.

I also like that I do not need to refrigerate this probiotic, because I often will forget to take it if it’s stuck in the refrigerator. The way that it is packaged within a specific oxygen absorbing bottle is why the probiotic can remain active without refrigeration.

The dosage is 1 capsule in the morning preferably before food. This bottle contains 30 capsules, so this is 1 months’ supply. I wish they told me exactly how long I should wait before eating after I have taken the capsule. I don’t want to render my probiotic useless.

Additionally this company sent me a coupon within the box. You get 50% off your next order, which is great!

This supplement is Kosher certified, non-GMO, gluten free, and non-dairy. It doesn’t have soy, sugar, wheat, eggs, and yeast, salt or animal derivatives. It also contains no maltodextrin or stearates. It has no artificial flavors or preservatives. It is made in the USA in a FDA registered facility.

The 10 strains and their benefits (I’ve researched each strain personally and these are obviously not claims of the company):
Lacobaccilus acidophilus (La-14)- supports overall digestion. Has been specifically used for treating bloating, gas, and diarrhea. It has also been used to treat lactose intolerance, Crohn’s disease, and vaginal yeast infections.
Lactobacillus casei (Lc-11)- helps with gastrointestinal issues. Has proven in studies to help specifically with chronic constipation. It also has been show in studies to help with insulin levels to prevent a person from becoming insulin resistant. Since it helps with sugar absorption, it also helps with weight.
Lactobacillus paracasei (Lpc-37)- has been used to treat allergies, diarrhea, and those with chronic fatigue syndrome. It is also very helpful in boosting the immune system.
Lactorbacillus plantarum (Lp-115)- great to create a healthy barrier in your intestines to keep dangerous bacteria from entering your blood stream through the intestinal lining. It has been used to treat Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, and help with colitis. This bacteria is also resistant to antibiotics. This is good because many physcians are finding that health problems are caused by antibiotics killing all the healthy bacteria in our intestines, destroying the natural balance in our bodies and allowing bad bacteria to take over.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus (Lr-32)- this bacteria has been used to treat diarrhea in patients, even rotovirus in babies or colic. It also has been used to treat Crohn’s disease, lactose intolerance or vaginal yeast infections.
Lactococcus lactis (ll-23) this bacteria is very good at support the function of the other lactobacillus strains, so they can function at the highest possible level. It takes on the workload of reducing the bad types of bacteria. A claim that is made, but not tested is that it may help with cholesterol levels.
Bifidobacterium bifidum (Bb-06)- this bacteria strain made up 95% of your intestines and protected us from harmful germs. This bacteria attaches to your colon to help with the digestion of sugars. It is also shown that it may be helpful in managing allergies and eczema.
Bifidobacterium breve (Bb-03)- This bacteria inhibit E.coli, which can be quite dangerous. This bacteria ferments sugars, produces lactic acid, and produces acetic acid. It helps break down plant based foods that some people cannot digest as well.
Bifidobacterium lactis (Bl-04)- helps boost the immune system, combat lactose intolerance, support cholesterol levels, and with celiac disease. Also shown to benefit respiratory infections and ailments.
Bifidobacterium longum (Bl-05)- like the other bifidobacterium species, this helps with digestion. It aids in the breakdown of proteins so they don’t putrefy in the intestines. They also help with cholesterol, diarrhea, and gastrointestinal upset.

Every review that I do is so that others know my honest reactions about products so that you can make the best possible decision! I do not give false reviews because that helps no one. I am also quite choosy about what products I decide to review because I am a consumer and only want the best. You are getting my 100% honest feedback.

  6. Works, includes a prebiotic, kosher

Posted by Raquel S. (review from amazon) on 3rd Jun 2016

I suffer from chronic illness, which includes chronic fatigue and pain. I also suffer with ibs-c and it has been a struggle for the last few years. I was excited to try this product, as I am always looking for a product that will truly help me. Nothing is a miracle cure but a little help would be great!
This product has 50 billion live cultures of the most effective strains our body needs. It is extremely potent and strong. I would say if you've never taken a probiotic, you may need to get one less potent and work up to these. They are amazing, but if your body isn't used to them you will get bloating while they work to reconstruct your gut flora.
These capsules are made to get deep into your intestinal tract. They don't break down at the stomach level and you get every bit of 50 billion according to the manufacturer.
This brand also contains prebiotic which are extremely important. Prebiotics nourish the probiotic you're putting in your system so they can grow and do their job.
There is no refrigeration needed with this and that is a plus.
These are kosher, non gmo, non dairy. They're manufactured in anew FDA certified and GMP certified facility.
There's no soy, sugar, wheat, yeast, eggs, magnesium stearate ,no salt, no animal derivatives , and no artificial preservatives or additives.

These have worked so well for me. I am so happy to have something work for me finally. I was incredibly backed up apparently and after using these several days, I'm feeling better. They are working and building my gut flora, and it's apparent. We take all these antibiotics and junk that just kills all the good bacteria in our gut, which is what causes the problems we have.
